Reading books, whether fiction or non, has always played a role in my day to day life. However, when I started scrapbooking the act of reading started to dwindle until last year when I made a concerted effort to make some changes and so far it's working.
I find it hard though to remember the books I've read in the past so I took inspiration from Nathalie's layout and documented my reads. I did this in my Project Life, but I wanted to make one final layout with some thoughts and comparisons on my year of reads.
I had fun making this layout and will do it again after I finish my books from this year. For those of you, like my friend Lisa , (who read something like 70 books last year!), rather than making a layout, you might like to make a mini album.
Have a wonderful Monday!

I love this plan - and the way you have executed it. Last year I made a little reading record notebook and you have reminded me that I should do something this year too
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of keeping a notebook Sian!
ReplyDeleteLove this idea! Love your choice of books too...I've read all but four of these! Still Alice has been on my "to read" list for a while...guess I should finally check it out!
ReplyDeleteI had Still Alice on my list for a couple years and I may even say it was my favorite read last year. You will not be disappointed
DeleteOh you know I love this don't you? :) I LOVE that you added a rating and appreciation for each book, and by hand! Love that!!! I see that your 2012 was the year of the trilogies! I too was disappointed by 50 Shades but LOVED The Help. I will definitely put Still Alice on my list now.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nathalie!! Yes it sure was full of trilogies and I'm a bit tired of them, so hopefully there is not any this year :)
DeleteThat is great and I love the star rating. My 50 shades would have got 1 *. Loved Hunger Games though :0)
ReplyDeleteyour right Jo! I probably was generous with "50 Shades!"
DeleteLove this idea and your ratings! Pretty much agree with you on all three of the trilogies!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cheri :)
DeleteA great idea, I'm the same my reading time just got lost some how, so this year I'm determind to read more
ReplyDeleteGood to hear Sandra!
DeleteWhen someone asks me what I've read lately my mind goes blank @@ Love the idea and the carry through on this, Ginger :)
ReplyDeleteLove this and the idea of keeping track of your books in your Project Life album.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to keep track of those books!
ReplyDeleteAlison xx
What a fun layout to document your reads for the year. I've read six of those on your layout. I really enjoyed The Hunger Games series & The Help.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. I read the hunger games series last year and loved it. Looks like a great selection of books.
ReplyDeleteSo Great!
ReplyDeleteI love this!
Maybe I'll read more in an effort to fill an 12x12 ;)
Looking forward to seeing you on Friday.
I saw that photo of your books! You are doing well Nadine :)
DeleteThat is a great idea. I've just started reading again after scrapping took over and I'm enjoying it so much x
ReplyDeleteAwesome Jo! I hope to hear about your reads :)
DeleteVery cool. I have an app on my ipad (book crawler, I think) to keep track.
ReplyDeleteRinda
Oh Rinda - I will have to look for that app!
DeleteI'm like your friend Lisa. I tend to read at least a book a week. Never thought of a mini album what a great idea
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea :) I always have a book on the go - interesting to see several here that I read last year (Hunger Games trilogy) and several that I have on my 'to read' pile (Dragon Tattoo trilogy and The Help!)
ReplyDeleteBeautifully put together; and I love your rating system and comments!
