Week In The Life | Sat. - Sun.

Overall, I would say this project is well worth it. I wondered at first why would one do WITL when doing Project Life, but the concept definitely is different and much more in-depth. There are a few friends out there who I think did a fantastic job recording their week and I took away some ideas from them. There are photos I wished I had taken, but did not think of it or thought I would get to it. Next year I really need to put more thought into the whole project, but overall I am satisfied with the photos and look forward to finishing it this coming weekend. Here are the pictures for Saturday and Sunday.

That's it! Finito!

Tonight I did some stamping on the blank pages of kraft paper in my WITL album. I am going type out some words or create some little banners for the album and have everything ready for Friday. I also need to prepare my photos, I would like to crop them to a 3x3 or 4x4 and have them printed.

Ali is giving a free download away here on her blog. You can print it off and use it for any of your projects.

How are your final touches coming along? Has any of this made you think you would like to participate in it next year? If you have any reservations... just think... you can make it whatever you want... you don't even have to make an album, you could take your photos and share them on your blog and call it WITL... it all works :)

Well, I best get busy as there is still lots to prepare :) Have a fantastic evening!

Week In The Life | Thurs. - Fri.

I started typing this up Saturday night:

I'm hanging on and I made it through another day of WITL! Saturday is done and tomorrow is the last of the week, there are still a few must take photos I need. I wanted to take a few shots of the garden and the green buds on my lilac tree.

For now... these will have to suffice... (these are unedited)...

Thursday brought an early morning gym workout.
Edwin doing some calisthenics.
Perfect song for the day.
I had a chiropractor appointment after work and then headed to Nellos for some takeout.

We woke up to more of the white stuff - but it did not last for more than a few hours.

Those are my coworkers and friends Ian and Alison. We went to the pub for a drink and snacks after work for Ian's sendoff to 4 weeks of school. So there you have it, that was my Thursday and Friday. Tomorrow I will share my Saturday and Sunday!!

Next weekend is National Scrapbook Day and I will be attending the weekend crop at Treasured Memories with my friends... My plan for this week is to get my PL and WITL photos ready for the crop!

Week In The Life | Mon-Wed

One thing is for certain - the amount of photos I have taken is quite sparse, but, seeing what everyone else has posted is giving me inspiration in continuing on with this!

Here are some of what I have taken thus far... they are straight from the camera.

Up and out of the shower at just after 7:00 (my clock is 5 min. ahead).

 All dressed.
First thing I do when I get downstairs is turn the t.v. on to get the traffic report. Looks like traffic is running smoothly!

Strawberries and yogurt.
Out of focus, but running behind and no time to take another.
Important stop.
I did not have time to upload my cell photos taken at work - so this is the commute home. The Quesnell Bridge. We had small amounts of rain the last couple days. As you can see we are still in the ugly dull brown stages of Spring, but the rain will help.
Ensuring there is water for the fur children.

Tuna love.
Dinner. Gluten free turkey bagel, tuna & chickpeas, and cucumbers,
Looking through the mail. Our next vacation.

Do any of you find it awkward to take photos in certain social situations? For example, I saw the dental hygienist yesterday and wanted to have a photo of me, but I was too self conscious and would not ask. What about you, how do you deal with these types of situations?

I have have no photos of Marvin yet. That's partly because I leave home before he is ready and then he comes home late and by this time, I'm too tired to take more photos. Hoping this will change.

That's all I have to share for now :)

Week in the Life | Game On!

I had to laugh at Alexa's post today - yes, no...?? Well I felt the same way when Ali Edwards announced the dates for this year's WITL. I did it last year and it was lots of fun... and actually it is the reason I started doing Project Life. The thing is... as much as I LOVEd it last year... I'm not so certain about this year. I was on vacation then, and just like Alexa mentioned... I don't know if I have the energy for it this time around, not to mention my photo printer has no ink, and... I just cannot see me taking as many photos as I did last year... So why am I doing it? Well, I looked at last year's album this afternoon and I decided to go for it.

I'm good at making last minute decisions... although I wanted to do this digitally, our main computer where all my digi supplies from last year are housed, is not accessible. We are having some work done on the computer so that leaves that option out and although I would love to use Ali's new templates, I refuse to spend money on templates right now. In fact I have so much stash it really did not take me long to pull together a kit and I ended up creating a 6x8 album based much like my Christmas album. I plan to write out my stories and allow for more creativity... I may not use as many photos as I did last year, this might be more of a story based album. Seeing as there was not much planning here... I will just go with it.

Here is a peak at what the base of the album will look like.

I have lots of lace paper I will place on the pages and will journal straight onto them where I can. The envelopes will be great for private journaling or extra photos. I won't be able to print any photos for the first few days at least, and I won't want to leave it all for next week so I will likely prepare the photos and space out the pages accordingly and then work on it next week.

So that's the immediate plan :) What about you? Are you participating? Okay - I best be off to bed and have a good night's rest for WITL ;)
