300th+ Blog Post/Mail Art Exchange Giveaway!!

I am several posts over but what the heck, better late than never right?!! There have been quite a few Blogoversary's in the past few weeks out here in Bloggerland and not that I am celebrating my Blog Anniversary, I am however celebrating my 300th + post.

Thank you to you my readers who keep coming back to this small corner of cyberspace! When I was planning this I thought what could I do to acknowledge this event? Ta Da....

This is a bit of a tie into the Mail Art Exchange group... but you don't have to be a part of the group to enter this giveaway! I thought these envelopes were a perfect size for mailing your Mail Art, and those Martha Stewart butterfly stamps are sure to look lovely on any package you send. For good measure, I added another stamp and... what else but a pen that is great for doodling! I have to admit, I almost cracked open those Martha stamps last night whilst creating my project for Christy's Creative Color class! I held back, though it was extremely difficult!!

Update: Winner has been picked!

Alright, to ensure your name is added to the giveaway pot... I would like to hear about what colour combination inspires you to create? Is there a new combination of colours you use that you never thought in your life you would like? In the Northern Hemisphere we are approaching Fall... Okay... don't get mad at me for bringing it up... yeeshk, we all know the world turns around and around, and summer is bound to end... :) having said that... are there any new colour combinations for Fall that sound interesting to you? Southern Hemisphere peeps... what about you? Any interests?

Okay?

On another note... Get ready for another Mail Art Exchange! I will be posting more information in September... so if you are interested in being added to our mailing list, please e-mail me at ginbin70@hotmail.com.

If you are interested in the draw, please leave a comment by August 11th, and I will post the winner that evening (that would be around 7 PM MDT)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Ginger

  1. OOh, ooh, pick me. I love red, black and cream together; although I almost always use yellow/orange and teal in my mixed media work.

  2. Oh, pick me - I just finished some of my first Mail Art & would love to use those butterflies on the next batch!

I am inspired by COLOR - all colors, bright colors. Of course, yellow is my favorite and I'm really liking some of the combinations of yellows & grays that I've seen.

So glad to hear Fall is coming . . . I know it intellectually, but physically right now it doesn't seem like it will ever be cool again.

I'm in for the Mail Art Exchange! :>)

  3. I like kraft and anything! Must include white though and I like greens, reds, blues ... lots really!
I'd like to give the Mail Art Exchange a go, though I am not sure what I could add? Are photos ok?

  4. I have to agree with Amy. I love the kraft paper with anything. It's nicer than bland white and doesn't make the colors stand out as much as black would. It's the perfect paper. It'll be fun to have a Mail Art to do again too. :)

  5. I'm loving yellow and grey at the moment too. It's a combination we haven't seen a lot of for years and now it's back.

I love kraft, but I'm using more and more white at the moment. It's so fresh

  6. I tend to use a lot of green and brown...though I'm just inspired by colours in general.
Am looking forward to the next mail art exchange.

  8. Huge congrats to you for 300 blog posts! I love dropping by here and seeing what is going on in your world. I am so happy we "met" through BPC.

I have to admit to being on the Fall/Autumn roll myself right now as we are having a terrible summer over here! And as it so happens, this is my all time fave time of the year so that is perfect. Autumnal colours are instantly attractive for me and I love to use them (especially for my two Canada holidays some years ago). I am just about to start a challenge layout using a combination of autumn yellow/olive/brown and it's just so inspiring. (although just looking at the combinations from other commenters, I have to admit to also having a yellow/grey love myself at the moment!)

Keep on blogging Ginger! I know that we all love to hang out here! :-)

  9. I have just spent the afternoon going through my scraps and sorting them into colour combinations as part of Explore. I have a nice pink and purple combo with a sheet of pale blue and a splash of lime green, which I'm looking forward to trying out.
The pink, red, mustard and black with a splash of blue looks better than it sounds too.
